Okay, I'm looking for that HIL-ARIOUS synopsis someone wrote about all the Twilight books.
I can't find it anywhere and I just have to show it to my sister. She's thinking of reading them and doesn't quite believe me when I tell her how awful they are.
Help?

You know how sometimes people on your friends list post about stuff going on in their life, and all of a sudden you think "Wait a minute? Since when were they working THERE? Since when were they dating HIM/HER? Since when???" And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you should already know? It happens to all of us sometimes.

#01. FIRST NAME:
Kindra. I usually go by Xedra in fandom and most places on the 'Net. *shrug*
#02. AGE:
31. I still feel mentally and emotionally in my 20's, sometimes physically in my 40's. *bleh*
#03. LOCATION:
San Antonio, TX - I've lived here for a couple years now, born and raised in Houston.
#04. OCCUPATION:
I sit in a cubicle and do clercal work for the Bad Checks department of HEB (big grocery chain in TX). *sigh* Crap job, but I'm grateful for it.
#05. PARTNER:
None. I don't feel relationships are worth all the drama that goes with... *sigh* Ah well, all my reasons and feelings about this subject would take pages and pages.
#06. KIDS:
None... of my own. My neices and nephews consider me a kind of second mom since I've helped to raise most of them, especially my nieces.
#07. BROTHERS/SISTERS:
Two older sisters. I'm the baby. If you look up birth order traits, we pretty much fit each profile.
#08. PETS:
One cat named Farley. He's a really pretty Siamese mix of white and orange with an orange tabby tail and bright blue eyes. Some people who love thier cats think of them as their children. I don't. He's my companion. I've had him close to 15 years now.
#09. LIST THE 3-5 BIGGEST THINGS GOING ON IN YOUR LIFE:
Work: Ever since I was hired I've been stressing that they will fire me or lay me off. I'm a good employee, but the workload is getting less and less and myself and two other coworkers are always having to look for work to do at the end of the day to fill time. I can't leave early because I can't afford to take a short check. I worry every day that one of the bosses will come in and lay me off cuz they don't need me anymore.
Home: My niece Melissa is living with me now and she's going through some typical teenage angsty stuff. We've always been able to talk to each other and get along. She has this impression that when she turns 18 things are going to drastically change in her life. Like she'll be an adult then and she can do anything she wants. *snerk* Yeah right. We've been over the fact that being 18 won't mean that she doesn't have to follow my rules anymore just cuz she's an "adult". I may not be her legal guardian anymore, but all the rules will still apply as long as she's living with me... and she isn't the type of girl that could make it out on her own. She's needs at least 5 or 10 more years of growing up maturity-wise to handle that. *sigh* Again, another topic I could go on for pages and pages about.
Cat: I'm always worrying about losing him. (Ever since losing my Mom, I worry about losing more people I love). I don't have a place to bury him if he passes, so I plan to have him cremated. I've been looking up pet crematorys and trying to find the right urn for him. I can't afford any of it right now, but he's still in good health so it's not a major worry.
#10. PARENTS:
Divorced when I was 3 years old. Mom passed away in 97. Dad is still around and kicking, he lives back in Houston and teaches mechanics at a technical college. We're not terribly close, but we're trying to remedy that little by little. I'll see him again at Thanksgiving.
#11. WHO ARE SOME OF YOUR CLOSEST FRIENDS?:
I have several good web-friends, but Jessica is my best friend. We've known each other over 18 years and she's closer to me than either of my sisters.

For a while now I've had a journal that my mom started when she was 13 years old, but I hadn't opened it until last night.
The journal isn't very thick and she didn't write in it every day, just sometimes weekly or monthly.
I've turned the pages and watched her go from 13 to 16 before my eyes got too heavy to focus on her lovely cursive handwriting anymore. It's wonderful to see the world through her young eyes - her first entry marks the day President Kennedy was assasinated.
She spends time with, loves, and misses family members I've only ever known through stories she herself told me over the years. She loved to sew and I've read several descriptions of the dresses she made for herself.
There is anger toward her father in places - and knowing him as I did later on, I can't blame her.
I've always known she and my dad knew each other when they were young, but reading her talk about him in her journal, the delight in her young voice, the little hearts she draws around his name... it warms my heart, makes me smile.
No matter what happened later on, how their marriage fell apart, what a jerk he became - to read about him as a young man who danced well, sang beautifully, would frown and grumble when another handsome boy stood next to her for too long, and made her a hope chest with his own two hands... I can see why she fell in love with that young man.
She talks about getting a locket and having her name engraved on the front. I have that locket. It has my mom and dad's senior year high school pictures in it. I have always treasured that locket and I treasure it even more now.
There is one line in an entry from when she's 15 that touched me:
You know something? I've just discovered that I'm kind of pretty.
I'm halfway through this little journal and I can't wait to read more. The book is old, the pages are yellowed and I worry it wouldn't hold up to too much travel if I ship it to my sisters to read it, so I'm going to type it out for them. I want to preserve it, preserve her as much as I can. I miss her so much.

I am an incredibly slow writer.
When the Muse leaves, it can be weeks or months (*sigh* even years) before I pick up where I left off on a fic.
I am really really really happy right now, though. I'm almost done writing the next chapter one of my fics. I looooove being The Zone!

FREE Harry Potterverse plot bunny:
If one could get hold of a Pensieve (and they seem to be rare things), wouldn't someone who is missing a loved one who died want to use it all the time?
To be able to, not just recall a memory, but practically relive it over and over again.
I'm sure there would all sorts of psychological problems to go along with that, though, which would be an interesting thing to explore in a fic. Not being able to full grieve, falling into memories over and over can't be good on the psyche. I can imagine George missing Fred and losing himself in memories of his twin.

Hey Nancy!
I was surfing on my YouTube site on my break at work, looking through my playlists and I came across that "Hey Delilah" vid of your family. Watched it again and cracked up again.
I finally went and watched more of his videos... then sat there and listened (cuz I couldn't watch, dang all that "work" they want me to do, :P) to almost every freaking video! LOL!
I need to go back and comment on them now. :D
I just love talented your family is... they make me happy to see them. :D
